FriENDships last???

He knw he had to do it today..
Stan never thought it wud get this far, after all Miranda had been his best pal since college.

Stan, a topper in his class, a favourite among his professors,
while Miranda was one of those average girls who always thought career was a joke and slumber parties were more important.
But something between them clicked well.
Most of their friends thought they wud eventually get married, but fate had a different plans..
Miranda got married to a US Marine while Stan had no such plans.. But their friendship lasted...

It became even more stronger when Stan stood by her side all along when Miranda's husband died fighting the Taliban in afghanistan during the war.

Stan asked Miranda to work with him in his Company. An offer she couldnt say No to. Stan spoke to the director of the company which ensured tht both Miranda and her 2 year old son were taken good care of. Through all this difficult time Stan stood by her. The friendship blossomed.

Even Miranda started to feel nice around him. She was slowly coming out of her depression and always had a thought tht Stan wud be a great Dad to her son. She sometimes stared at him with a smile for No reason at all.
They went out for dinners, got sloshed etc etc. but stan knew his boundaries. This impressed her more.

Coming back, Today was different. He was stressed out. What he was going to say, was going to decide the fate of their Relationship.

"Its only 3 words.. You can do it." he said to himself..
He wondered how he was going to muster so much courage to tell this to her.
He practiced himself before the mirror saying them confidently, but hopelessly failed. He had never done this before.

He asked his secretary to call Miranda upto his cabin asap.
She came up in no time.

"Knock Knock".. "Heyaaa Stan..U called"

He waved her to come inside.. His heartbeat increasing with every step she took in..

Should he back out.. No too late.. Should he divert the topic. Naa he had to do it eventually..

She came in and sat in a chair opposite to him. She could sense that he was going to pop her the question, but never thought it wud be in his cabin...
Stan's secretary had told Miranda tht he had been restless all day as if making a life decision...
.
.
"Miranda" he called.... "Yes Stan".... Her heart pounding as well...

Second Thoughts

For Ajay, the term "A pen is mightier than a sword" couldn't have been more apt.
What he was gonna write today, he knew, would never get published. No bouquets, but brickbats would surely follow.

But Ajay felt differently today, like He was the editor, aur jo woh chahegaa wahi likhegaa.

He started with politics. He wrote how a worthwhile Finance minister of his days had now become a mere puppet of an Italian Lady and her Band of Pimps.
How the country was both ruled and opposed by a band of thieves. "Jo bhi aayegaa Satte mein, Loot ke Jaayegaa Saste mein".
We dont need an enemy in the battlefield, This country can self destruct internally, he thought.
He added, "Nothing wrong with what happened in Assam. U don't cross borders and then screw with my people. If u do, be prepared to be kicked out".

Suddenly shifting to Olympics..Whats with China. Why aren't we even close to competing with them.. Don't blame it all on corruption. There is No willpower within our people in here.
Even parents dont encourage their children, let alone the govt.
And our Movies are worse than our Olympic performances. At least our athletes give in their 100% in what they do... All actors know is to show off their bodies, while actresses show off their cleavages to gain publicity...
He wondered with so many Policemen kept on duty just for these film stars and their security, who on earth will solve daily crimes... And then u say Crime rates are increasing... Strange...

He stopped writing for a moment and wiped the sweat on his forehead. No it was not what he wrote that had caused the sweat, but the repercussions that would follow.

Thoughts flew endlessly in Ajay's mind, while he kept writing them down..
He was in his own world and everything was going good..... EXCEPT......
.
.
.
Trrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg....
.
.
.
A loud bell brought him back to Reality.....

"Ajay" the lady called out his name "Jaldi Assignment dena", while he smiled weakly and gave her whatever he'd written....

Roll No.15 knew he had flunked his Semester 3 Engineering Assignments again....

The Awakening

Salim knew what he had to do..
He had waited for this moment ever since he'd seen his father do it.
Many of his own kin told him it was futile. They said no one benefited out of this.
Some even threatened him of dire consequences.

But salim thought differently. He thought this was greater than JIHAD.

Starting his bike, he looked at his worried ammi and said "koi galat kaam nahi kar raha main.
Ye bhi allah ka kaam hi hai, hum sabki kushahmati ke liye".

He rode quickly to his destination, a government building.
He knew what he had in his hands was the more powerful than any other weapon made.
What he was going to do today would decide the fate of a billion people.

He entered the building and made his way upto the 1st floor. Room no.104 it was. He flashed his ID to the official present, who looked at him with suspicion for a moment and allowed him to enter.
Inside the room he was all alone. All the equipment was already set up. All he had to do was push the button.

This was it. The moment he had waited for such long time.
He closed his eyes to gather himself for a moment...

Then opening his eyes , taking a deep breath he pressed the button....
